Couple of years back, Simon procured for himself this beastie of a Camaro. it’s a 1971 bullnose Z28 with a 540 ci big block Chevy motor equipped with a Fast fuel injection setup, 8-71 Weiand blower, TH400 trans with reverse pattern manual valve body.

The car has a full roll cage and it's fully tubbed out to accommodate the 9 inch rear end, that's fitted with Strange half shafts and a Strange rear diff and locker. Simon scrubs off the speed with Willwood disc and callipers at the front and Cosworth disc and callipers at the rear.

What power are you making, we can hear you ask: "It was 962 bhp before it blew and we're now in the process of rebuilding it."

This is a nicely turned out race car too, Simon bare metalled the car, all rot cut was cut out, new front wings and resprayed. It's completely rewired with a new fabricated dash by Bender (aka Nige with the red Jaguar XJS) and new clocks. The car is now resplendent in 'Bootlegger' graphics, appropriate with Mr. Boot's involvement in the licence trade!
