Chevy Nova SS

 

Arkansas Dave was planning on some strip time with his fellow L.E.A.K. members in his '68 Chevy II. But, as they do, plans changed, Ebay got involved, and the old Chevy II has moved on. In its place you will find Dave's new '72 Nova SS, motored by a SBC stroked to 383ci and decked, fitted with World Products heads, a Lunati cam, Edelbrock Performer inlet and 850 cfm DP carb.

Even though Dave is really quite probably from Arkansas, "I am a self confessed drag strip virgin,' he adds, "but I did manage to get my first ever outings at the Hot Rod Drags and York's RWYB in October, with a PB of 13.7 at 99.5 with no burnout -or experience! But I am well and truly bitten by the bug now so will be registering and participating in the forthcoming season." 

The car has a line lock now and "Mr Sleath has eaked another 40bhp at the wheels out of the lump so I'm hoping for low 13s or high 12s."
