'79 Chevy Malibu 

A/SS Intelligence Services have failed to establish much information on this car and driver as yet. As you can see, one of the photographs was taken by one of A/SS's orbiting spy satellites. Jonathon probably isn't even his real name, since he is one of the LEAK guys (Long Eaton American and Kustums) and probably driving under an assumed name. In fact his real name is Ricky Bobby.

'Shake and Bake' also operates as Jonathan Gibson. The '79 Chevy Malibu is complete with all steel, glass and trim. Still retains bench seat and arm rest. The only weight reduction has been the removal of the rear seat.

The engine is a JP Motorsport 355ci small block Chevy with all-steel block and heads. Performer RPM intake, 750cfm Holley carb with vac secondary, MSD Ignition and a solid lift cam. And as Ricky points out, "no power adders, all Chevy!" Transmission is a 2-speed Powerglide with a custom torque converter, no transbrake. Rear end is a GM 10 bolt unit fitted with 4.56:1 gears and Strange components throughout including spool. Best ET is 11.56 seconds at 117mph.
